Historic hotels in Belgium that each tell their own story
Historic Hotels Belgium includes four charming historic hotels in the centre of Ghent and a modern hotel in Aalst made from the city's industrial history. The five historic Belgian hotels work closely together to offer you a slice of Belgian history.

Dating back to the Middle Ages the Hotel Gravensteen has been recreated into a modern and stylish historic hotel. The Ghent River Hotel has been made from two historic buildings - one a 300 year old factory building and the other a renaissance house dating back to 1518. Set on the River banks of the Lys, the Ghent River Hotel is an ideal place to stay in Ghent. Hotel de Flandre is another historic Ghent hotel standing right in the centre of Medieval Ghent city. A beautifully restored 18th Century town house that has been welcoming guests for hundreds of years de Flandre Hotel is waiting for you to add to it's history. The Hotel Monasterium Poort Ackere is history itself being a newly renovated hotel created from an old Monastery dating back to the founding of the city of Ghent in the 13th Century. In 2016, Tower Hotel Aalst joined the Historic Hotels Belgium group.
